This is the name of the most popular constructions of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) windows in our country, reinforced with a metal profile. PVC is an inexpensive and durable material that can provide a good appearance and high performance in the window frame. The window system consists of plastic profiles that are responsible for the rigidity of the structure. The main window profiles include elements such as a frame, a band, a pillar (impost), metal stiffening profiles and plastic beads with glazing. Additional profiles are attached to them: expanders, connecting elements, strips and other elements.
There are several PVC window systems, which differ mainly in the thickness of the profile. The differences can be even in the range of models of the same manufacturer. Typical sizes - 58, 70, 82, 90, 104 mm; at the same time, there is a range of other sizes. Profiles may differ in the number of internal rooms - closed spaces. The more of these chambers, the higher the thermal insulation properties of the profile. In addition, the latter can have a different number of sealing contours - from one to three.
